South Anna Butternut Winter Squash

South Anna Butternut was developed through a 2011 cross between Seminole Pumpkin and Waltham Butternut, resulting in a variety with outstanding downy mildew resistance, high productivity, excellent keeping quality, and rich, sweet flavor. Immature fruits are predominantly dark green and transition to a fully tan hue at maturity; it is well suited to late planting for harvests that store well into winter and spring.
