German Johnson Tomato
German Johnson is a popular heirloom from Virginia and North Carolina, long a favorite at farmers markets, and is one of the four parent lines of the famous 'Mortgage Lifter' tomato, with a very similar flavor. Pink-red fruits average ¾ to 1½ lbs with generally smooth tops, few seeds, and are good for slicing or canning. Plants are very productive and fairly resistant to disease.
