The spouts of Red Ball are a bit smaller than regular green sprouts, but are sweeter with a mild & nutty flavor that more than makes up for it. Both the leaves & the sprouts hold their color when they are cooked. The OP plants are quite cold hardy, tolerating frost well & even some snow, with the cold weather enhancing the flavor & deepening the red coloration of the leaves & sprouts alike.
